Our great tasting water source is from high above the Sierra Mountains spring. The legendary region is well documented and famously known for: Lake Tahoe, Alpine Lake, Mount Whitney and Yosemite Valley. The snowy mountains were formed more than 100 million years ago, when granite formed deep underground and the erosion by glaciers exposed the granite and formed the mountains and cliffs that make up the range. Our water source is located at about 6, 000 ft. elevation in a protected underground spring of the Sierra Mountains. VITÁ water starts off as rain or snow high up on the pristine peaks of these legendary mountains, traveling through a vast mineral aquifer deep within the mountains before emerging at the spring. This incredible journey takes 10 to 15 years. There the water flows underground and is naturally filtered by layers of ancient rocks. It gathers minerals and electrolytes that create VITÁs soft & naturally delicious taste.
